NETHERLANDS – Sticomax, a prominent Belgian machine manufacturer and food industry holding company, has acquired DutchTecSource (DTS), a well-established provider of custom-built equipment for potato processing.

With these acquisitions, Sticomax is set to reach an annual turnover of over EUR60 million (USD 66.5 million) and employ close to 200 people.

Sticomax’s acquisition of DTS marks a significant step in its ongoing strategy to become a leading global player in the food processing industry.

DTS, renowned for its cutting-edge screw technology and thermal processes, has long been a trusted name among the world’s largest food companies.

The acquisition enhances Sticomax’s ability to offer advanced solutions for every stage of food processing, from blanching to cooling.

According to DTS’s management team, “We are delighted to now be part of the Sticomax family. Our shared vision and complementary technologies and market approach provide a solid foundation for further growth and innovation for high-quality solutions to the food industry.”

The team, including Marcel van de Pol, Peter van der Stouwe, and Vincent Wunnink, will continue to lead DTS under the oversight of Sticomax CEO Lode De Boe.

DTS has spent the last 30 years building a solid reputation in the food processing industry with its modern blanchers, coolers, and cookers, which are essential for processing a variety of food products.

Their advanced screw technologies have made them a top collaborator for some of the biggest names in the food industry. This acquisition positions Sticomax alongside the largest global integrators, significantly expanding its product range and market position.

“DTS’s advanced technologies allow us to better serve our customers with innovative, hygienic joining and conveying systems,” said Lode De Boe, CEO of Sticomax.

“This acquisition is an important step in our growth strategy and underscores our ambition to become a global reference in manufacturing structures and machinery as well as an integrator of production lines for the food industry.”

The acquisition of DTS aligns perfectly with Sticomax’s sustainable growth strategy. This is the company’s third acquisition in the Netherlands in a short period.

Prior to DTS, Sticomax acquired ViwateQ, a specialist in hygienic surface treatment technology, and Romonta, a company specializing in platforms and conveyor belts for the food industry.
