GERMANY – In an exciting development, Insort GmbH has announced the appointment of Nicolas Stein as the Global Sales Director.
With extensive experience in sales and a proven track record, Stein’s expertise promises to drive the company’s future growth.
Nicolas Stein’s career began in 2002 as an International Service and Production Engineer. He later transitioned to a Sales and Marketing Engineer role at Best Sorting, where he honed his skills.

In January 2010, Stein established Stein Solutions Ltd., a commercial agency specializing in food processing equipment in the UK and Ireland. The company achieved substantial success in sensor-based sorting solutions and vision systems.
Prior to joining Insort, Stein was the Sales Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland at Arburg Limited. His role at Insort will involve developing and executing global sales strategies.
“We are very happy to welcome Nicolas to our family of companies and look forward to the positive impact he will bring,” Insort announced.
Insort GmbH is known for its advanced optical sorting and monitoring technology in the food processing industry. Their Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT) is a cornerstone of their innovation, ensuring quality assurance and process control.
CIT uses near-infrared spectroscopy to monitor industrial food production processes in real time, making it possible to analyze full spectral data.
Insort’s Sherlock machine series is a testament to their technological prowess. The Sherlock Hypernova, for example, is designed for sorting small-sized bulk products like nuts and dried fruit with high precision.
The Sherlock Safeguard combines food safety, automation, and product quality monitoring. The Sherlock Air provides high-quality optical sorting for smaller food products, while the Sherlock Hybrid sorts acceptable products, foreign material, and defective items into three grades in one pass. The Sherlock Separator 4.0 is specifically designed for whole potatoes.
Insort’s commitment to food safety is reflected in their SHERLOCK Food Analyser, developed to ensure uncompromising detection of foreign bodies.
This dedication to safety and quality aligns with Stein’s expertise and strategic vision, making his appointment a significant step for Insort.
Stein’s diverse background and industry experience position him well to lead Insort’s sales team toward achieving new milestones.
As Insort continues to innovate in food processing technology, Stein’s leadership will be crucial in driving the company’s global sales initiatives.
