GLOBAL – MSC and Ellerman City Liners have signed an agreement that will see Ellerman utilizing a combination of MSC capacity and its own independent vessel between ports in ScanBaltic, Northern Europe and the Atlantic Coast of the United States.

The agreement, commencing from Klaipeda around January 1st, 2024, stipulates a fixed weekly volume with scalability options for Ellerman, underscoring flexibility and efficiency.

Pasquale Formisano, Senior Vice President of MSC, underscored the agreement’s efficiency, emphasizing its role in maximizing cargo capacity and consequently minimizing environmental impact.

“The more we can do that, the more we can reduce emissions,” he stated, outlining the partnership’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Echoing this sentiment, Peter Andrews, Commercial Director of Ellerman, celebrated the collaboration, acknowledging the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency while expanding geographical reach across Europe and the United States.

The ambit of this agreement spans ports in Sweden, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, UK, Belgium, and France, connecting them to ports along the Atlantic Coast of the United States.

Furthermore, it presents the potential to extend services worldwide, marking a significant step in redefining global maritime routes.
