KM Packaging welcomes new Customer Operations Specialist

UK – KM Packagin, a supplier of specialist lidding films and flexible packaging solutions, has announced the addition of Martin Penney to its team as a Customer Operations Specialist.

Penney brings a wealth of experience in customer service and operations management to his new role. Over the past 15 years, he has built a strong background in retail and order management, having previously managed teams and complex logistics with notable success.

Penney’s career includes a decade of experience as a store manager, where he was accountable for meeting key performance indicators and managing costs effectively.

Most recently, he worked as an order management officer in the financial technology sector, overseeing payment processes and order fulfillment.

In his new role at KM Packaging, Penney will be responsible for overseeing the entire customer journey—from the moment an order is placed to its delivery.

His duties will include managing international shipping logistics, controlling stock levels, and ensuring that customer needs are met with efficiency and accuracy.

Penney expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am a member of the team that gets the product to the customer and aims to exceed their expectations. I look forward to growing professionally and embracing the challenges of this role.”

Penney is particularly excited about integrating AI and automation into KM Packaging’s systems. He believes that these technologies will improve efficiency and allow the team to focus more on tasks that directly benefit the customer.

“Incorporating AI and automation will help us enhance our processes and provide even better service to our customers,” he added.

KM Packaging continues to advance its commitment to sustainability. The company has introduced eco-friendly packaging solutions, including mono-materials, post-consumer recycled content, and compostable products.

Additionally, KM Packaging has expanded its global presence by opening a new office in Australia, known as KM Packaging Services ANZ Pty Ltd.

This expansion aims to enhance service capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting the company’s growth and global strategy.
