UK – Greenyard Frozen, a produce process and distribution company, has joined Veg Power in its Simply Veg campaign to encourage UK families to eat more greens.
Greenyard Frozen UK’s contribution to the campaign will include the creation of new content including videos with members of Simply Veg’s expert panel, and a competition for families to win a freezer unit.
“We are delighted to support Veg Power’s Simply Veg campaign and help more families get more veg into their diets,” said Tom Stops, commercial director, Greenyard Frozen UK.
In his view, Frozen vegetables are a convenient, tasty and affordable way to get a variety of nutrients, and they hope that their donation will help to make it even easier for parents to cook healthy meals for their families.
Through their donation, Veg Power has created a video and series of tips with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and the nutritionist Charlotte Radcliffe to show parents how versatile and simple cooking with frozen veg can be.

This announcement comes weeks after Veg Power announced their involvement with nutrition experts for a second Simply Veg public health campaign to improve UK family diets.
The campaign, which was launched on October 18, 2023, aims to bring together an alliance of the top nutritionists and chefs with psychologists and children’s entertainers to combine their skills to improve UK families’ diets, according to the group.
“The campaign offers a unique and holistic approach that moves beyond traditional public health nutrition education to helping parents with the real challenges they face every day – while making it fun for kids,” announced Veg Power.
According to the group, the campaign moves beyond traditional public health campaigns and focuses on wider issues by offering a unique and holistic approach to improving families’ diets.
“Through our work over the last six years we have gained a deep understanding of the complexities of feeding a family and have developed this campaign so that it caters for all, no matter what their particular struggle may be,” Commented Dan Parker, chief executive, Veg Power, on the launch of Simply Veg.
