CANADA – The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) has appointed George Pitsikoulis as the Chair for the 2024-2025 term.
This announcement was made during the CPMA Convention and Trade Show held in Vancouver.
Pitsikoulis, a seasoned professional with over 40 years in the produce industry, currently serves as the president and CEO of Canadawide Fruit Wholesalers Inc., a position he has held since the early 2000s.
Pitsikoulis’s extensive involvement in the produce industry and community initiatives makes him well-suited for this leadership role.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as CPMA’s 2024-2025 Chair,” Pitsikoulis stated. “With the Association’s 100th anniversary coming up next year, this significant milestone makes my term as CPMA Chair even more special. I look forward to working with CPMA and its stakeholders to foster a dynamic marketplace where members thrive through market expansion, sustainable practices, and technology adoption.”
During his term, Pitsikoulis plans to prioritize strengthening international trade relationships, promoting sustainability, and addressing key challenges in the produce industry.
His agenda aligns with CPMA’s vision to drive industry prosperity and increase the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables in Canada.
The Executive Committee, which will support Pitsikoulis, includes Colin Chapdelaine, Star Group/Whole Leaf Ltd. (wholesaler, grower/packer/shipper); Steve Bamford, Fresh Advancements (wholesaler); David Dube, Krown Produce (wholesaler); Steve Boulianne, Metro Richelieu Inc. (retailer); and Andrea Vandergrift, Costco Wholesale Canada (retailer).
Next year, CPMA will celebrate its 100th anniversary. This milestone underscores the association’s long-standing commitment to the produce industry.
Pitsikoulis’s leadership during this landmark year will be crucial in guiding CPMA towards achieving its strategic goals.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario, CPMA is a not-for-profit organization that represents companies active in the marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables across Canada.
The association encompasses the entire supply chain, from the farm gate to the dinner plate, and aims to enhance the prosperity of the produce industry through various initiatives.
