NETHERLANDS – The Dutch Flower Group (DFG) will once again highlight top growers and suppliers during this year’s Dutch Flower Awards at the RFH Trade Fair.

These awards recognize excellence and underscore the importance of long-term partnerships in the floriculture sector.

This year’s event holds particular significance as DFG celebrates its 25th anniversary, a milestone marking its long-standing relationships within the industry. The theme, “long-term partnerships,” fittingly honors this special occasion.

DFG companies have nominated outstanding candidates based on their dedication to building enduring partnerships.

The jury, consisting of members from DFG’s Executive Committee, carefully selected nine nominees spread across three categories: Flowers, Plants, and Foreign Suppliers.

In the Flowers category, the nominees are Kreling Chrysanten, Pico Bello Hortensia, and Ronico. For the Plants category, KP Holland, Leo van der Harg, and Opti-flor are contenders.

In the Foreign Suppliers category, Afriflora from Ethiopia, Collison Cut Flowers from the UK, and Mystic Flowers from Ecuador have been nominated.

Marcel Zandvliet, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer of Dutch Flower Group, shared the importance of these awards, stating, “Recognizing these suppliers is about more than just their product quality.

It’s about acknowledging the long-term partnerships and collaboration that make our industry thrive.”

The winners will be revealed at a special awards ceremony during the RFH Trade Fair Aalsmeer, scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th, at 3 p.m., at the Dutch Flower Group stand.

This will be a key moment to recognize the best in the industry, emphasizing their efforts and contributions to the floriculture sector.

The previous year’s Dutch Flower Awards celebrated innovation under the theme “New Perspectives.” Zwettulips took home the prize in the Cut Flowers category, Plant World won in the Plants category, and Marginpar was recognized in the Foreign Supplier category.

The awards highlighted the forward-thinking nature of these suppliers and their commitment to the industry’s growth.

The Dutch Flower Group is not just celebrating the achievements of its partners; it is also reflecting on its own journey over the past 25 years.

The company has grown into a global leader in floriculture, with over 30 specialized trading companies under its umbrella.

In June, DFG hosted a celebration at the SugarFactory, where over 400 growers, suppliers, and customers gathered.

Jan van Dam, CEO of DFG, spoke about the company’s journey, emphasizing the crucial role partnerships have played in their success. “We’ve grown alongside our partners, and these relationships have been fundamental to our continued growth,” Van Dam said.
