UK – Bloom Fresh has officially named Josep Estiarte as its chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Estiarte, who had been serving as interim CEO since February, brings over 20 years of experience in the fresh produce industry to the role.
Estiarte’s journey with Bloom Fresh began when he joined AMFresh in 2002. His leadership has been crucial in the development and international expansion of the SNFL Group, a key player in the fresh produce sector.
Reflecting on his new role, Estiarte said, “I am honoured to officially lead Bloom Fresh as CEO. I am confident in the positive impact our robust pipeline of innovative varietals will have on growers and consumers alike.”
Bloom Fresh, known for its high-quality and flavorful fruits and vegetables, has a strong focus on innovation.
Estiarte emphasized this, stating, “With our extensive portfolio and genetic expertise, we are set to deliver flavourful, high-antioxidant, and sustainable fruit varieties.
Our commitment to innovation will continue to drive growth and satisfaction across the industry. I am grateful for the support from our licensees and excited about our thriving future.”
The leadership at Bloom Fresh also expressed strong support for Estiarte’s appointment. Alvaro Muñoz, CEO of AMFresh and majority owner of Bloom, praised Estiarte’s deep understanding of the industry.
“Josep is the essence of Bloom Fresh. His deep understanding of growers’ challenges, market potential, and consumer needs has been instrumental in our success,” Muñoz stated.
He added that the board has full confidence in Estiarte’s ability to lead Bloom to new heights, ensuring the continued delivery of healthy and delicious table grapes to consumers worldwide.
EQT Future, the private equity owner of Bloom Fresh, also voiced strong support for Estiarte’s leadership.
