AUSTRALIA – The 2025 Australian Citrus Congress is scheduled to take place in Griffith, New South Wales, bringing industry professionals together in the heart of Australia’s largest citrus-growing region.
From March 18-20, 2025, the event will concentrate on strategies to enhance efficiency across the citrus supply chain.
In recent years, Australian citrus growers have faced challenges with rising production costs, putting pressure on their margins.
Recognizing this, the upcoming congress will emphasize finding and implementing efficiencies throughout the industry.
“As a high-cost producer, the fortunes and global competitiveness of the Australian citrus industry hinge on our ability to consistently produce high-quality fruit as efficiently as possible,” said Nathan Hancock, CEO of Citrus Australia, the event organizer.
Hancock highlighted the importance of the congress’s theme and location, explaining, “The New South Wales Riverina provides the ideal backdrop to explore this topic through immersion.”
The 2025 congress will offer a mix of traditional conference elements and hands-on experiences, designed to provide attendees with actionable insights.
One key feature will be an interactive field day, where industry-aligned businesses can showcase their products and services in a local orchard setting. This will give participants a firsthand look at the latest innovations in action.
In addition to the field day, the event will include a tradeshow with extended hours, allowing for increased interaction between exhibitors and attendees. Hancock emphasized the value of this format, stating, “A more consolidated speaker program will allow for added interaction on the tradeshow floor.”
The congress will also include a comprehensive social program, featuring a golf day, a gala dinner with the presentation of Citrus Australia’s Annual Awards, and an official welcome event within the exhibitor area. These events are designed to foster networking and relationship-building among industry members.
Hancock assured that the 2025 congress would maintain the same depth of insights that contributed to the success of the previous year’s event, while offering even more opportunities for participants to forge new business connections.
“We’re excited to bring key industry updates, insights, and high-quality networking to one of our major production hubs,” Hancock said.
He encouraged industry members to mark their calendars for the event, noting that investing in attending ACC 2025 would be a step toward optimizing their operations and strengthening their financial outcomes.
Citrus Australia plans to release more details about the event, including exhibitor and sponsor packages, ticketing, and a full program of events, in the coming months.
