Asia Fruit Logistica introduces exclusive retailer’s club

CHINA – Asia Fruit Logistica has launched the Retailer’s Club, bringing together top global retailers at its premier fresh produce trade show.

Asia Fruit Logistica (AFL) has introduced the Retailer’s Club, a new initiative aimed at strengthening business relationships and enhancing networking opportunities for leading global retailers.

This exclusive program, limited to just 100 top retailers worldwide, provides members with an array of benefits that facilitate high-level engagement with exhibitors and suppliers.

The Retailer’s Club includes notable members such as Walmart, Spinneys, Belc, Central Retail, RT-Mart, Parknshop, Aeon, Lotus, Big C, Makro, S&R, and JD.com.

These retailers gain full access to AFL, including entry to the exclusive Retailers Lounge and an invitation to the Opening Gala Dinner on September 3.

Members also benefit from AFL’s Speed Dating and Match Making services, which offer tailored face-to-face meetings with companies that provide the specific products and services they require.

Asia Fruit Logistica has long been recognized as a crucial event for the fresh produce industry, and the introduction of the Retailer’s Club further solidifies its role as a bridge between retailers and exhibitors.

Exhibitors at the show, such as Chinese fresh produce giant Goodfarmer, use this platform to spotlight their latest products and innovations.

Wang Zhejiang, Sales Director for Traditional Channels at Goodfarmer, expressed enthusiasm about the event. “Asia Fruit Logistica provides an ideal platform for both procurement and sales. The enthusiasm of our clients for attending the show is quite high,” he said.

Goodfarmer plans to showcase ten proprietary branded products, including bananas, pineapples, young coconuts, and fresh and frozen durians, among others.

Similarly, Joy Wing Mau Group (JWM), a key player in the global fruit distribution value chain, is returning to AFL to highlight its capabilities under the theme “Maximise Your Value In China.”

The company’s stand will feature its proprietary brands such as Joyvio and Joy Tree, as well as a range of fresh-cut fruit products.

JWM has also been advancing its business operations, including moving into a new headquarters in Shenzhen, which features a fully automated distribution center and smart cold storage facility.

Fresh Del Monte Produce is another company making waves at Asia Fruit Logistica. The company will showcase its Del Monte Rubyglow pineapples, the result of over 15 years of research and development.

These pineapples, which are naturally ripened in Costa Rica and sold at a super-premium price, were first launched in China earlier this year and are now also available in the U.S. market.

Hutchison Ports Yantian, a critical gateway for China’s foreign trade, will also participate in AFL, emphasizing its role in global logistics and its innovative solutions in cold chain railway services.

Linda Lin, Deputy General Manager of the Commercial Department at Yantian, highlighted the company’s commitment to tailored logistics solutions, saying, “We are willing to explore more tailored logistics solutions for customers according to different needs and demands.”
