USA – Del Monte Foods has announced the appointment of Abhinav Kapoor as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective immediately.
This strategic move aims to strengthen the company’s growth and solidify its position in the Indian Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market.
Abhinav Kapoor steps into his new role with extensive experience in sales and distribution within the FMCG sector.
Harjeet Kohli, joint managing director of Bharti Enterprises, expressed confidence in Kapoor’s ability to scale operations in both the B2B and B2C spaces.
Kohli stated, “On behalf of the entire board of Del Monte Foods, I welcome Abhinav to the organization. We are confident that he will successfully scale up operations in India, building on the strong organic growth across categories and will bring about transformational initiatives towards allied product portfolios.”
Kapoor’s appointment is a clear indication of Del Monte Foods’ commitment to bolstering its leadership team and enhancing operational capabilities.
With over two decades of experience in the FMCG sector, Kapoor’s role will involve consolidating Del Monte’s product portfolio and streamlining the distribution network to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products to customers.
He previously held the position of Vice President of Sales at VIP Industries and was responsible for Profit & Loss (P&L) Management, multiple sales channels, and sales IT. His career also includes key roles at Cavinkare, Britannia Industries, Mondelez, and Marico.
Del Monte Foods aims to leverage Kapoor’s extensive experience to deliver sustainable growth and profitability.
His educational background includes an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Symbiosis College for Arts & Commerce.
